Jennifer Carlson, DNP, FNP-C
Jennifer’s passion has always been in helping people. She received her Bachelor’s in Nursing degree from Montana State University in 2000 and worked for 17 years as an emergency room nurse. During her nursing career, she always felt there was something more to be done for people in pain rather than just prescribing medications. Jennifer’s personal goal for each and every one of her patients is to improve their quality of life. Jennifer decided to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a nurse practitioner, receiving her Doctorate in Nursing Practice degree from Montana State University in May 2018. She now has a stronger voice for her patients.
Jennifer's goal is to work each patient and develop a customized plan to treat the disease, not just the symptoms. By focusing on wellness and disease prevention, utilizing hormone replacement therapy when able, she is often able to reverse common disease states such as high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, type II diabetes, osteoporosis, and even depression.
Jennifer is originally from Montana and enjoys all activities associated with the outdoors. Growing up, she was an avid golfer and was inducted into the MSU Athletic Hall of Fame as a member of MSU’s Women’s 1995 Golf Team. Jennifer’s daughter now loves the sport, so she is hoping to get back out on the course more frequently. Additionally, Jennifer loves to garden, cook, read and refinish furniture in her free time.
Jennifer and her husband, Chad, currently live in Spokane with their daughter, twin boys, and three dogs.
